This Privacy Policy explains what information PokéSpot collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using PokéSpot you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address and chosen username when you sign up.
Content you submit: restock reports, store details, photos you upload, confirmations, and watchlist entries.
Approximate location: the city or coordinates you attach to a report, and optionally a home area you set for nearby alerts. We do not continuously track your location.
Technical data: basic, standard log and device information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To operate the core service (show nearby reports, send the alerts you ask for, maintain your account and reputation), to keep the community safe (detect spam, fake, or abusive reports), and to communicate essential account messages such as sign-in confirmation and password resets.

How it's stored and shared

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell your personal information. Reports, photos, usernames, and reputation you contribute are visible to other users by design.

Photos and public content

Photos and reports you submit are shared publicly within the app to help other collectors. Don't upload photos that contain other people, personal information, or anything you don't have the right to share.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete your own reports at any time. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us (see below) or using in-app account deletion where available. You can opt out of non-essential alerts in your settings.

Children

PokéSpot is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
